Oliveti New Zealand EVOO Awards – Shaken Down Olive Oil Wins Gold

We are delighted to announce that Shaken Down Olive Oil has been officially classified as Certified Extra Virgin Olive Oil and awarded a Gold Medal at the 2026 Oliveti New Zealand Extra Virgin Olive Oil Awards.

This achievement reflects the exceptional quality of our 2026 harvest and the dedication that goes into producing every bottle of Shaken Down Olive Oil.

Located on the banks of the Oruaiti River in Northland, our grove is home to 500 mature Frantoio olive trees. Following a warm Northland summer, the olives were harvested at peak ripeness and transported to Olivado Pressing House in Waipapa for immediate cold pressing, ensuring maximum freshness and flavour.

The result is a vibrant extra virgin olive oil with fresh green fruit notes, balanced bitterness and a distinctive peppery finish that has now been independently recognised with a Gold Medal.

Being awarded Gold and achieving Certified Extra Virgin status confirms that Shaken Down Olive Oil meets the highest standards of quality, authenticity and flavour.
